[ here we are. here they are... in the kitchen.

giyuu doesn't have a lot of cooking skills, honestly, just the basics but it doesn't mean he's going to mooch off of someone else. so when phoenix catches sight of him, giyuu will just be poking around in the pantry to see if there's anything he recognizes. he'll also notice that in addition to being roughed up that he saw from the other day, he'll also have a rather nasty bruise and gash on his forehead.

it'll be fresh but scabbed over—the bulk of it will be covered by his hair. giyuu is living his best life. it's fine. ]

[ is it newer than the last time he saw giyuu........ stop getting beaten up so much it's not even week zero? ]

[ phoenix watches him for a bit then waves lazily. ]

Anything good in there?

[ yeah, it's newer than the last time he saw him. so he has two bruises and uno cut on his face right now. giyuu is doing a great job which extends into his speaking ability because he doesn't just ignore phoenix and acknowledges him. ]

I'm not sure.

[ he pulls out a bag of shrimp chips??? ]

[ well, that sucked!! and phoenix's clothes are still being washed or drying. so he's going to head to the memorial hall, because he's something of a masochist. ]

[ no, it just seems like the place to go. imagine his surprise when giyuu's already there, though. hm. ]

it's fine. if he's worried about modesty, giyuu will hand over his haori to wear for something more reasonable. ]

I was. I take that you also went looking for something?

By the bonfire there was a strange smell, but not something I could place.

[ did he ask for phoenix's name? i don't remember, either way, here is giyuu wandering over towards him after trial because he said some very interesting things about the teams. ]

I'm curious about the questions you asked the directors about our teams.

I didn't use the best phrasing -- doing a task with your own team member doesn't get extra points, per say, just the extra manpower of multiple people from the same team doing tasks.

week 2, sunday

[ hello phoenix...

giyuu would get up to greet him properly but you know, things hurt and he's just happy that he can sit up on one of the beds without being miserably in pain. ...though with how tired he is, does he really care about pain? who knows. either way, the visit surprises him.

but he'll wave to him nevertheless with his left hand. well, "wave". ]

[ phoenix waves back.... he's brought a water bottle and some painkillers from the nurse's office. ]

[ bless phoenix. ...even though he has probably been given some (now has he taken any) from shinobu let's say that it's been hours later since she's fed up with him. ]

I'm in the same predicament... was thinking Tsuru or Evan, though. Feel like they'd know the most, being in there the longest.

[ but he doesn't know a lot of them and the dead and scapegoated probably don't want to talk ]
